The new barbarian prestige class:

Verber of Nouns

Really... it just sums it all up.
 This is the best suggestion on this thread.

Actually, I wonder why there are some prestige classes with duplicate names. Doesn't someone keep track of all this stuff?

I'd love to see some more bard prestige classes. And druid ones. :)

Is that all you need? Allow me to help you out.

Order of the Drow Initiate
Blackguardian
Knight of the Bronze Flame
Mystic Stirge
Elven Defender
Blue Wizard
Betrothed of Valarian
Beastmister

Is this enough? :D I can come up with more if you need them.

Its not the number of them that bothers me (though it truely does) its the fact that players now seem to have to take one. Whatever happened to characters that were core classes through until 20th?

If you think that's bad, just try coming up with a name for a new arcane caster core class! Wizard? Enchanter? Adept? Sorceror? Thaumaturgist? Nope, all taken. I'll NEVER forgive WotC for using 'Warlock' in Complete Arcane just as I was putting the finishing touches on my (completely different) version.

Pretty much everything that's left has unwelcome associations that come with the language. 'Magician' brings to mind card tricks and millinery-dwelling rodents. 'Mage' says either "The creator of this class is hopelessly mentally stuck back in 2E' or 'A White Wolf nut wrote this'. 'Witch-doctor' is usable but has heavy 'bone-through-nose savage' connotations that aren't always what you're looking for. *sigh* I guess there's always 'Arcanist', lame, made-up word though it might be...

Just a few ideas for you: Caster, Caller, Channeler. Yes, all starting with Cs, but depending on your magic system, might be very appropriate...

Perhaps we should start a thread of Prestige Classes haven't yet been written about.

Ward Robe - A arcane spellcaster that can enchant his robes to give better protective abilites, and also disguise himself as furniture.

That's absolutely horrible. Maybe they'll be bad guys in my next campaign.

There arn't many Cleric prestige classes unless you are Lawful or Lawful Good (at lot seem to have this as an unnecessery requirement).

I've always thought that every religion should have at least one cleric oriented prestige class, that would take the cleric and focus it on the religion. Some might have more. I remember St. Cuthbert was supposed to have 3 orders of clerics, each one might have a prestige class (although one might be the "pure cleric" order).

Of course, the easiest tool to find for a prestige class is the thesaurus. Hmmmm...ravager is most appropriate, but it's taken. Flip...flip... Brigand? Desperado? Pillager? Raider? Marauder? Despoiler?
