Gray render unique rend?

Voadam

Legend
Is the gray render unique in how it does its rend ability?

The other common renders include dire apes, annis hags, and girallons all rend after hitting with two claws, the gray render does it with a bite and grapple check.

Are there any other official creatures with rend we can compare the render to?

There's no gold standard for creatures' qualifying to rend. By far the most common is hitting with multiple attacks. But the abyssal maw, for example, rends when it drops a foe in combat (i.e., like a Cleave).
