Naaaah, it's just that my first DM was a jock, and I played with frat boys and sorority girls and "white trash" and straight up "gangstas."
My first DM (besides myself) was a biker chick in leather pants. Darlene, I still remember you.

Now I'm DMing stewardesses. I think there's a connection. :D

It's funny, when one of the girls told her boyfriend (who plays bass guitar in a local rock band and is blond and good-looking in a football-hero sort of way) that she was playing D&D he got completely jealous. Turned out he'd been a huge gamer in high school but gave it up when he decided to be a "cool" rock musician -- and of course never told his new girlfriend until one day -- she comes home all excited cause she's going to be playing the game he'd never told her he'd played.

D&D. Bringing cool people closer together since at least last year.

I am very glad to see this article. I think she did a good job overall.

The idea that video games have legitimized game play for adults is new to me. Of course, when I started gaming it was with my dad and his friends (adults) back in the early 80s, so it has always seemed like an "adult's" game to me.

With that in mind, the youngest a "First Generation" RPGer could be is early 30s.
Hmmm. I'll be 30 in a few months, and I started playing when I was in 1st grade when my best friend, at the time, got D&D for Christmas. What generation am I? :p
