Sorry Bats, but I'm just a lot bigger Indiana Jones fan than a Batman fan.

This is such a no-brainer.

There's a simple test.

Put Batman and Indy up against the same opponent. Let's say a guy with a scimitar.
Indy does his standard trick and pulls a gun and shoots him.
Batman has an entire utility belt just to deal with stuff like this. Sleep gas, batarang, or just rush up and disarm the guy.

Plus, Batman is going to leave the guy alive for questioning and to answer for his crimes.
That's far more heroic than gut shooting a man and leaving him laying in the dust.

Batman - hands down the better hero.

Well, we've got a borderline psychopath with a bat-fetish and a weird hang-up on gadgets or a supposedly mild-mannered teacher who will go to any lengths to retrieve archaeological artifacts so that they may be placed in a museum far from their homelands...

Okay, okay! I like 'em both, really, but neither one is really who I would think of first when the word "hero" comes to mind.

Hmm, of the two, I guess I'd have to go with Indy, just 'cuz of the hat.
