If they prove it, I'll order mine on Amazon THAT day...

I'm more than a little skeptical, though: to update these three books to 3.5, include errata, and reformat to the new statblock format is a H-U-G-E undertaking, almost as much work as designing three books from scratch. There's a not-insignificant amount of design and development work (setting CRs for high level monsters is a much more refined art than it was 4 or 5 years ago. What's the CR for a mountain giant? Or a drowned, for that matter?), to say nothing of editing and layout.
I'd love to see it, though.
True, but they have a few limits. For the gem dragons, the tables need an attack/grapple column. And because MM2 came out before the Expanded Psionics Handbook, the psionic abilities of the gem dragons and the braxat are not 3.5 compliant, which is something many folks are waiting for. For my part, I did my own update of the dragons and put it in a PDf for in-house use.Sammael said:MM3 errata, which I am hoping for, is freely available on WotC site, as are the 3.5 updates to MM2 and FF.

I'd still buy the gift set if the MM2 and FF were updated to 3.5 and MM3 was errata'd. (Did I mention I was a monster manual junkie ...)
