Great Spell Combinations

First Post
When I played 2nd edition I would often try to come up with combinations of spells that would make my mages a bit more useful. That was a long time ago... I was wondering if any of you would be willing to share spell combos that you may have come up with. What creative uses have you found for your spells?

I like True Strike + any ranged touch attack spell, like Disintegrate. You want to hit with those spells, and True Strikes takes care of that-unless you roll a 1,that´s not good.

Asmo

One of the cloud-related damage-dealing spells (Cloudkill, Acid Fog, etc.), with a Wall of Force to hold people in it. Worked more (and arguably, too) easily in 3e than 3.5, since a hasted caster could get both off in the same round, allowing no save with the hemispherical wall of force.

Now this is my type of thread ^_^

Displacement (3rd) + Ghostform (5th, Tome and Blood)
Displacement gives you a 50% miss chance because your character isn't standing exactly where they appear to be while Ghostform gives you a second 50% miss chance because your body is no longer material. This amounts to any enemy wanting to strike you having to successfully roll two miss chances in order to even deal you damage. If you want to be a real bugger, add Blur or Blink to that as well for even more miss chances.

I am not sure how 3.5 affected miss chance, but in 3E this worked great.
