Hey, Pramas, what's with your guys' relationship with Amazon? I order one GR item from Amazon, and get a 30% discount. Next item I order (Freeport: City of Adventure), I have to pay full price...

I've got a lot of GR items on my "want list" (damn you, now I have to add a couple more!!! ), and I'm a cheap bastard, so I want to know why some items are more discounted than others.

Amazon stocks our books through Ingram. Why they discount some books and not others is a mystery because they aren't getting the books at a special discount or anything. Presumably, there's some internal process at Amazon.

Any possibility of a Freeport 3.5 that's expanded and revised with all of the history, PrCs, feats, spells and other goodies updated?

Definitely a possibility, especially as we have less than 500 copies of the Freeport hardback in the warehouse.

If you were to do this... and this is an if, I'd like to see some sections on using Freeport with other settings, very similiar to Redhurst. That was one of the features I loved about that book. I'd love to see how Freeport would fit into say the Diamond Throne.

In addition, if possible, see if Mystic Eye would be willing to do one of their location books with a Freeport theme. It could cover the island, nearby island, and perhaps a friendly port or two nearby. Those maps by Ed are great I tell you.

Lastly, if Treasures of Freeport, or 101 Freeport Treasures or whatever Phil is calling that thing isn't done, if you are doing a 3.5, ask him kindly to put it on hold until that revision comes out and then you can have a Freeport month or something.

I'm like Chris on this I haven't a clue, at first I figure it would be based upon how new the product was as their more likely to sale more of them than an older product so they would be able to buy in bulk.

My next idea would be their sales ranking only the highest so many have a discount, but the Unholy Warrior’s Handbook is behind the Shaman’s handbook in this list but the Unholy Handbook is 30 % off, and if I can make my opinion known a perfect addition to the Book of Righteous.

So I guess in this case its simply Voodoo Economics.

Now you can always look at d20 Books and FRP Games .

I'm not sure what Chris' plan is for the Book of Righteous is but he was asking for peoples opinions in this thread: Link

Yeah I remember the debate about the Unholy Warrior/Holy Warrior fix. I can't wait to see how they do that.

But I also think IF we want to see an update Freeport, some people better go buy those 500 more and horde them away so the rest of us can get our updates.

I so agree, I'm hoping for a book that handles both.

Well I already have my allotted one... but I don't think that 500 is a huge amount left, but maybe Chris can tells us how many they usually have when they order another print run.

Yeah using both would be an interesting proposition. I don't know if I 100% care for it...but it's certainly I think a good compromise.
