Green Ronin: Kicking A and taking names!

I'm not saying that Green Ronin is the best in the business or anything but...

Egyptian Adventuers rocks so far.

Black Company rocks so far (I stopped reading EA so I could read this)

Advanced Bestiary was solid.

M&M Noir... a bit different in layout and style but fitting as it's a different genre.

Other Advanced Books look sweet and man, Blue Rose and...Thieves World of all things... Thieves World man! All they have to do now is come out with Earthsea or something and they'll have it cornered!

Green Ronin gets a ton of my money, this is true. I just cannot commit to Black Company though. I could not even get through the first 50 pages of the first book.

They had me at Thieves World. Actually, in the past year they have really impressed me something they failed to do in oprevious years. But if THieves World fails to live up to my lofty expectation.....;)

Gahhhh! Heresy! Blasphemer! (Old One calls up the Limper, fires up his flying carpet, starts preparing multi-hued globes of glowing death and purile disease and head for North Carolina).

;) :p :D!

Well, even if you don't like Black Company....

Various levels of combat, individual, unit, armies...

new crunch (feats, Prcs, core classes, monsters...)

New 'gritty' rules.

New uses for Action Points.

new weapon masterwork components

No alignment

In short, if you wanted to play something like Conan, Grim Tales, Dark Legacies or another 'gritty' style setting, the Black Company is still for you even if you don't like the fiction.
