Apparently, they're going to develop an entirely new system (not the GoO AGoT, not True 20, etc). Which probably means that I won't buy it, as I like the version that I currently own

On the Green Ronin Forum, Chris Pramas pointed out, that using the GoO Version would create a difficult legal situation.
Therefore they design or adapt their own mechanics.

Yeah, but what's wrong with their in-house rulesystem, True20? Not definitely GOO's version.

Nothing is wrong with True 20. Maybe they will use it as a basis and tweak it to fit the setting.
On the other Hand the D20 engine might appeal to more Gamers.

I only hope, that they will cover all the books and not stop after AGOT.

It's a fun little indie press RPG designed to introduce kids and such to roleplaying. Though it can be fun for all ages. Players play pixies, brownies, and other faeries doing faerie type things.
