PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT!!

Sprawling Shadows, Weapons: Book of Swords is now available for just $0.99 at www.rpgnow.com. Get your copy today! At our special low price, it makes the perfect e-stocking stuffer for all of your friends.

I'll let the "big" announcement speak for itself. Follow one of the links above to get detailed information on our newest product, Sprawling Shadows, Weapons: Book of Swords. For the most detailed information, snag a copy for just $0.99. Or two... or five, even ;-)

Malessa's new Pic of the Week is a colored rendition of one of the dragons she sketched a while back. This particular picture has been given a background and highlights... but the dragon, itself, is featured in a special way in Sprawling Shadows, Weapons: Book of Swords, etched on to one of the blades.

Now that this current project is done, I'm going to settle in and catch up on the reviews I have backed up in my folder. Right now, I have SIX books to finish reading and post a review for. I'll try to finish one per week until they're all done.

We're also ready to get started on our next release, Sprawling Shadows, Urban Class: City Shaman. As always, we'll be striving to make each successive product even better than the one before and, as always, we'll make it available to you for just $0.99. This will probably be our last post before Christmas so, until next time... cheers! Have a very Merry Christmas, all of you and your families. Have fun, get some gaming in, and don't drink too much egg nogg.

News 12/29

One week ago, we released Sprawling Shadows, Weapons: Book of Swords vol. 1 on RPG Now. To date, we have sold more than 50 copies, and we've had many positive responses from customers and reviewers. We couldn't be happier about that! Thank you all for your support, and we're glad you like it!

It's been a hectic week, as can be imagined with the Christmas holiday. Surprisingly, we were able to make quite a bit of progress on our upcoming release, Urban Class: City Shaman. I was able to finish about 15 new spells, and the layout for the whole book is pretty much in order. We've set the release date as 28 February. It may come out sooner, but we wanted to give ourselves plenty of time to come up with all the new spells, and to do quality artwork.

I'm excited that Malessa, a couple of friends, and myself will be starting up an online Wheel of Time campaign some time next month. When I have more information to share about that, I'll post it over on Cthulu Ftaghn's Campaigns. For as many fans of the WoT series I know are out there, I'm surprised that there's very little discussion about the RPG on EN World. Perhaps kicking off this campaign will change that!

There is an update to Campaign Art by Malessa, and Malessa's Pic of the Week. We've added two of the swords from Weapons: Book of Swords to the gallery. We'll add a couple more each week. Web space is becoming an issue... I'm just waiting for a response from the provider we're wanting to use for our upgrade. --cheers!

Okay, it's finally official! www.grellhead.com has been launched. Please adjust your bookmarks to the new address. The old home page for http://home.cfl.rr.com/rtttoee will still be active just to point you to the new Grell Head domain, but all internal links on the old sight are gone as of today.

On the same note, my new e-mail address is cthuluftaghn@grellhead.com, and Malessa's is malessa@grellhead.com. Our old e-mail addresses still function, but we will be encouraging folks to switch over to the new.

The site is largely the same, though the files that make it up are organized much more efficiently. Cthulu Ftaghn's Campaigns got a facelift, and there is still some construction going on there. A new online campaign, which will hopefully commence this week, has been added over there. It will take place in the Wheel of Time setting.

The January newsletter went out today also. Yes, it's a week late. But, we wanted to be able to announce the new domain without having to add a second newsletter. If you are not currently subscribed, and you want access to the exclusive updates and free downloads provided in the monthly newsletter, click here.

That's it for now! Please report any broken links directly to me. Thank you!

Congrats.

On the links page, the sample code snippet you give for linking back still uses graphics and a linkback to the old site.

It's Sunday again. Update time. First of all, there were five new pictures added to Campaign Art by Malessa. You can see them in the aptly named, NEW ART section. One of the new additions is featured as the Pic of the Week, this week. It is a fire griffin that she did as a project for Khan's Press.

The online Wheel of Time campaign, run by the DM Cthulu Ftaghn (ie: me), was finally launched this week. I had my players commit to a minimum of one post each day before we started. After three days, we have had 54 in-game posts, and I am very pleased with the way it is going so far. Feel free to stop on by and check it out.

In order to run that campaign, I had to buckle down and get our new Message Board up and running. It's an Ikonboard, much like the one at EN World, and it is hosted on the Grell Head Studios server. I put it there as an online game tool, and a method of communication for Grell Head Studios, not as something to suck up my limited bandwidth. So, I haven't enabled a lot of the functions. But, it is up and running. I'll add more forums as they become relavent.

Not much else to say, for now. My college classes started back up this week, on top of everything else. So, it's time for things to slow down around here again. We'll get back into a busy rhythm and keep plugging along on Urban Class: City Shaman, and strive to get it done before our self-imposed deadline.

Cheers!

Starting off another week with five new additions to Campaign Art by Malessa, on the NEW ART page. Included in this week's update is her new Pic of the Week. I love the lighting on this owl!

Our week has largely revolved around our online Wheel of Time campaign, and being sick. The weather around here just isn't being friendly... mid 30's in the evening, and mid 70's during the day. You never know what to wear!

Work on Urban Class: City Shaman is plugging along slowly. Should be done on time for our end-of-February proposed release date. Not much left to do besides finish off the new spells, and the art.

Next two weeks will be busy, in a personal sense. Our anniversary is next weekend, then my brother is getting married the weekend after that. As a result, there may or may not be an update next weekend. We'll keep you posted if there is any big news, though.

--cheers!

COLLEGE BLUES

Hello, folks! It's been a couple of weeks since the last update. Truth is, this semester of college is kicking my butt! Grades are fine, but it's much more work than I had anticipated. One obvious result is a drop in the frequency of web site updates. There's also another unfortunate side-effect.

The release of Sprawling Shadows, Urban Class: City Shaman must be delayed. This isn't a huge deal... the publication deadline of February 28th was self-imposed, so we've only ourselves that we have to answer to. Instead of postponing the deadline, we're simply going to lift it. We'll keep working on it as time allows and when it's done... it's done. We'll keep you posted on its progress.

One VERY cool bit of news is the creation of the EN World Art Gallery. Not only does Malessa have most of her best work featured in the new gallery... but Liquide has also selected Malessa's Dragon to serve as the "cover art" for this new addition to EN World! The first thing any visitor to the gallery will see is Malessa's work. Cool! Thank's Liquide and Morrus!

For the time being, keep checking back to our site for regular updates on Cthulu Ftaghn's Online Wheel of Time Campaign. You'll see new material there almost every day.

Well... back to the Daytona 500. Rain, rain, go away! Malessa's down at the track right now, getting soaked, selling merchandise for Tony Stewart. I get the joy of fighting my way through traffic to go pick her up. Fun fun fun!

September 29, 2003
After a long absense, greetings! Malessa and I are still around, still doing our thing... just on a more casual and informal basis. I've made a lot of little updates to the site, reflecting more of what we have done as opposed to what we're going to... or what we might... or what we might not ever do.

One thing I'd like to do is write some more reviews about products I've used, books I've read, and movies I've seen. Look for updates on the Reviews page every now and then.

Malessa's got a lot of new art that we simply need to get put up on the site. She's also got a new hobby... making authentic chainmaille! Sooner or later, hopefully sooner, we'll be taking photos of what she's done and getting some things up for sale on eBay.

So, Grell Head's still here. We're just taking our time, and focusing on being a mom and dad, husband and wife. This is all for fun, after all. The purpose of this site is simply to share our fun, and our ideas with y'all.
