Surprise, DUDES! [gm] Hill Giant #1 Will Save = 15 + 4 = 19 (Fail) Hill Giant #2 Will Save = 20 + 4 = 24 (Natural 20 Always Saves) Troll #1 Will Save = 20 + 3 = 23 (Natural 20 Always Saves) The Hill Giant who failed was the overall group leader. The Hill Giant who made his save is his second-in-command. [/gm] As Sylvar steps out into the open, the group notices him, and a murmur of surprise and confusion sweeps through them; they clearly did not expect to see this. Their leader, the largest of the two Hill Giants, cocks his head to the left, as the intoxicating music takes hold of his mind. His arms go limp, and he drops his massive Greatclub to the ground, as he stands there, listening, totally enraptured. The other Hill Giant and one of the Trolls both try to say something, but he shushes them, muttering something in the Giant tongue. [sblock=For Dewydd, and all other party members who speak Giant] "Be quiet, you knuckleheads, I wanna hear this!" [/sblock] The red Orcs look at each other, shrugging in confusion, as they notice two of their own kind (Thallok, and Lathir who is disguised) among Sylvar's group. The Ogres ask the Orcs something, and the other Troll silently scratches his head in wonderment. [sblock=If you speak Orcish] "What in the Nine Hells is all of this happy, horse-sh*t? Who are those two guys? And what are they doing with those Demis?" [/sblock] [gm] Round One was a surprise round; Lathir completed his casting of Call Lightning; if he desires to do so, he can strike the Troll NOW, at the end of the surprise round, with a bolt of lightning. Weather conditions (light rain) are such that the lightning bolts will inflict 3d10 pts. of damage each. If Lathir chooses to strike at the end of the surprise round, Sylvar's song will be disrupted. [/gm] EVERYONE: We are about to start round two; as of yet, none of your opponents have initiated combat. What do you do?
