[GRIM TALES] Introducing players to GT - sample character ideas?

I'll be starting my GT campaign in a few weeks but I'm going to spend one session next week going over the system with my group. It will probably be more "mechanical" rather than a one-shot adventure. I would like to show them some sample characters and go over the magic, horror, and action point systems. I'll run a couple of sample battles too.

Two of the players have the book and have played it once (at the Boston gameday). The other three players know only what I've told them about the system. Ideally, the rest of the players will buy the book and make up characters after I introduce it to them.

So, I'm looking for some recommendations on some characters I should make. I think I would like to keep it around 5th-6th level and have a variety of archetypes. Any thoughts?

Don't make it harder than it needs to be. I think you're overthinking it.

Make famous heroes from movies or books that they can all quickly identify with.

This is the "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" approach.

You could also take those archetypes I gave you and use them as the basis for several characters. The players will readily identify with these "shared myth" archetypes-- that's why they are archetypes, after all-- and particularly if you list several fictional/mythological examples of each archetype at the top.

I guess three types of characters come to mind. They are archetypes you cannot create with D&D classes, but fairly easily with Grim Tales: A scholar /erudite type (Smart character, lots of skill points, some limited spellcasting); a non magic-using Christian-like priest (Dedicated character, with Turn Undead though); a politician (Charismatic hero with plenty of ability to bluff and convince). Then, you need an adventure where these three archetype will shine, and where magic is not really required.
