Grim Tales/ Slavelords Questions

soulforge

First Post
I have the Grim Tales book, and have just picked up Slavelord's of Cydonia which looks great.
I'm wondering if anyone knows if they have ever made an errata for the grim tales book? I would've asked on their site's forums, but someone asked the question months ago and has yet to receive an answer.

Secondly, I'm wondering if anyone knows how much Slavelords uses Psionics or if there is a section on PC Psionic abilities as it just seems sensical w/ the lethid being involved in the campaign.

Thanks

Can you point me along to what threads he answers the questions in? Thanks

Well you can start with this thread:

There is errata for GT but it's not posted on the BadAxe website. I think Wulf posted it in here at one point but I forgot where I got it. In any event, it's pretty small.

The lethid do have psionic-like abilities but they mostly just spells and spell-like effects. You don't need any kind of book on psionics to use SoC.

Not in any "official" capacity, no.

That question, to me, is essentially the same as, "Are there any plans to bring wizards into the Grim Tales ruleset."

The rarity of any kind of supernatural ability is such that it's all indistinguishable from magic. Whether it is psionic in nature, or arcane, or divine, isn't especially relevant as far as the GT rules are concerned.

I haven't looked at the XPH but I understand the powers are arranged by Levels. You could therefore extrapolate the Spellcasting rules from GT into psionic powers.

Another possibility I've seen mentioned is using Green Ronin's Psychic's Handbook, but even that, I find, is too "magical" for a Grim Tales game.

Magical abilities should be rare enough to be covered by a very simple subset of rules for all such effects.
