[Grim Tales] Weapons Help!

Fenris

Adventurer
Ok, I need some help with weapons for a historical game I will be running. The main firearm that will be used is a .450 caliber, lever action rifle. I can't find the muzzle velocity, but it was sighted to 1400 yards. So I was thinking it should look like this:

Rifle 2d10, critcal X3, range increment 100ft ,weight 9 lbs ,piercing

Does this sound right?

Also the standard bayonet for this thing was a 21" triangular blade. This gave the weapon an overall length of 6.5 feet. I can't quite buy the 1d4 damage in d20 Modern for the bayonet there. But should this be a simple weapon or martial? It will really only change the damage die one step but still.

Also I will have gatling guns in this game. Same caliber. For simplicity should I just make them an automatic weapon, or does anyone know of good rules for a gatling gun (firing 320 round a minute should be automatic :). 6 barrells for what it's worth.

Thanks all.

Dunno about the x3, if it's a "powerful" weapon you want to get across, I'd say go with a 5d4. Better averages. (11 vs 12.5) and a 3-point higher minimum. Stay with the usual 20/x2.

Keep it Ballistic, for the damage type.

I'd say 21" sounds like a short sword. On a stick. So call it a spear and I'd say 1d8 damage for the bayonet. That's two handed jabs at STR x1.5 so that's a good amount of damage and within the range of a Simple weapon.

I think these are good calls.
