Anyway this is the setting I'm using in an online play by post campaign, In Search of Fine Booty

All PCs in the universe have to be at least somewhat moe, so it's a really unique setting for 4E.

Anyway I thought it would be interesting to update this thread as I flesh out the world organically (through playing the campaign).

The world is very grim dark, lots of death, poverty, double crossing, and evil artifacts. But all the main NPC and PC characters are very moe, creating stark contrast. It is also a very "tragic" world. The world is full of islands of dark witches, ancient evil artifacts that curse the users, and monstrous sea beasts that can swallow ships hole.

Quick question... what is "moe?" I only know "Moe" to be a bartender.

Moe - in relation to Grim Dark - is an anime term which literally means "budding girl" anime. Basically, think of the world like spawn, but the characters are all like Sailor Moon or hello kitty.
