Grom's Guide to Harvesting Monsters
An adventurer's guide to field dressing a monster and harvesting the useful anatomy for trade, trophies or crafting powerful items. The Harvesting Guide table is broken down by monster type, size, and time it takes to harvest.
After you've taken down the monster and stopped the bleeding from your own wounds, you can get to work field dressing the carcass. Quickly removing vital organs and draining the blood will slow down the decomposing process. Use the Harvesting Guide table to identify the most valuable components you'd like to harvest. Roll a Survival check vs the DC of the anatomy you are trying to harvest. On a success, you either get the number stated or roll the die stated to see how many of that anatomy you harvest. If you fail your Survival check, then you destroy the anatomy you are harvesting.
Harvesting a monster isn't easy. They are smelly, slimy, and their complicated anatomy can be deadly. Keep this guide close and don't forget your Hunter's tools.
This guide doesn't contain all the Monsters in the world and all the items you can craft from them.
