      Anyone here remember Ground Control, an action-RTS for the PC from back in 2000 (developed by Massive Entertainment, distributed by Sierra Studios), as well as the now-hard-to-find add-on disc Ground Control: Dark Conspiracy? I just started playing it again just recently and am surprised at how good it still is. The graphics are perhaps slightly behind today's standards, but they're still pretty good... and the gameplay and story are still top-notch. 
      A warning to those who currently have Windows XP and want to play this game: after installing the game, make sure that you download and install the latest patch. The game won't play on XP unpatched, but will work just fine after the latest patch is installed.
      Also, it seems that a sequel is in the works - while no official release date (other than "later this year") has been announced, it's been confirmed that Ground Control 2 will be once again developed by Massive Entertainment, but this time will be distributed by NDA Productions.
      In any case, this is good news for a cool game that probably didn't get as much hype in its day as it should have.
