Grr!! More reasons to hate apple...

Hah, I thought I was the only one who referred to that company as Crapple. I just don't get the Cult of Steve Jobs. Apple's stuff always seems overhyped and overpriced to me, although Quicktime isn't too bad.
It's magic. Or rather a "Reality Distortion Field". Steve Jobs could sell you (and I really mean you, fellow reader) crap with his talent, and you would love it and say it's the best thing since the invention of the Water Closet. ;)

Apples strength is their usability. I like their products, they seem innovative enough in that regard.

Unfortunately, my Mac Book Pro is seeing less work lately... I've got a new widescreen TV and an 22' widescreen monitor, so i am more eager to watch movies on these two these days. I am currently writing less for my RPG related stuff, so the Mac is again at a loss, and I don't have any computer games for the Mac either.
But I'd love to change that. Maybe then I'll eventually learn that @ is ALT-L, not ALT-Q... ;)
And I like Safari, too. It works pretty well for me...

Did you know, Steve Jobs masturbates inside every Apple product. That's what makes them so much more expensive than their competitors. Rumor has it, that's also where the inspiration for the their shiny white styling originated. Think about that the next time you're massaging that wheel selector on your iPod. ;)

I know, it's just terrible that my computer always works and does what I want it to do. Damn you Steve Jobs!

How dare you make vast amounts of music easily available to me in an attractive design! You fiend!

Why the man hasn't been hounded down and murdered is beyond me. He's so awful.

The complaint was just frustration and venting after spending several hours running back and forth between two computer labs while tweeking a website only have itunes send Safarri (for windows) to my home pc as an "software update."

The misspelling of Firefox was not intentional..

There are always going to be multiple browsers and multiple ways of rendering web pages that are not going to be identical no matter what browsers are being used. If this really bothers you this much, then you should probably find a different line of work/education. I mean there's at least three major rendering engines just in the open source realm.

I've known people who whine and moan about how sites don't support their text only "web" browsers.

I loled. (And I'm not even an Apple fan.)

Steve Snobbs, Crapple, IdiotTunes, Internet Exploder and Stuparri? Wow, I'm so stunned by the clever proper noun tweaking that I don't even know what your actual complaint is.
Are you kidding? I'm here for the awesome words.

The principle of Steve Jobs creating 'knuckle children' on each Apple product made me spit up my coffee. ...and it probably will be the kiss of death for this thread once a mod sees it. :]

I don't know why people fawn over Steve Jobs, it doesn't make sense to me. There's just something in his demeanor that makes me want to bash his brains out with a pipe every time I hear his voice.

Oh, there's no question about Steve Jobs being one arrogant and full of himself SOB. Nobody who knows anything about him thinks he's a nice person or fun to be around.

However, he is someone who does have a vision and a style that are unique. Lots of companies have tried to copy what Apple's been doing since he came back to the company and they've all failed miserably. While obviously you don't like Apple's stuff, equally obviously lots of people do and a lot of Apples products have been definitive trendsetters and a fair amount of that is due to Jobs being a finicky SOB. As a result Apple's products usually (though not always) have an attention to detail and thought put into the design of things that is lacking in most other similar products and it's one of the reasons Apple is able to charge a premium for it's products.
