I think the level of transparency you've brought to the process has been a big boon, and your coverage of conventions has been excellent. It's a difficult job, and it certainly seems like you're going above and beyond the call of duty to bring cool stuff to the fans. So, thanks.

Although it's left you less time to come get whipped at Vegas Showdown on Gleemax Games.
Given the sidebar discussion of "aggro", I'm guessing I shouldn't tell you that I've been spending my free time playing Age of Conan instead of Vegas Showdown? :D

And thanks all for the positive replies.

From WoTC:

My thoughts:

Wow, they need to have some of the artwork shown there on the Daily Artwork.

The Mindflayer certainly has a large Stat-Box and it seems we can now confirm our assumption that Vampire minions burn up in the sun:
Why did they show the 3.5 vampire artwork while talking of vampire spawn?

The dinosaur (Macetail Behemoth) at the end... why has he more exciting powers than the Hill Giant, despite being lower level? :(
Because he's a frickin' dinosaur, that's why :)

Have they renamed all the dinosaurs so that they're not so obviously "real world" creatures? The macetail behemoth is quite clearly an ankylosaurus (Mike, I mean Chris, even said as much) and the pic they showed also had a stegosaurus in it. I wonder what it will be called?
Eberron has a list of English names for various dinosaurs (because it makes no sense for a halfling tribe to call their mounts "velociraptors" instead of "clawfeet"). Stegosaurus isn't listed, but it does list:
Allosaurus - Bladetooth
Ankylosaurus - Hammertail
Cryptoclidus - Fintail
Deinonychus - Carver
Elasmosaurus - Great Fintail
Laellynasaura - Fastieth
Megaraptor - Great Carver
Quetzalcouatlus - Soarwing
Seismosaurus - Thunderherder
Spinosaurus - Spineback
Triceratops - Threehorn
Tyrannosaurus - Swordtooth Titan
Pteranodon - Glidewing
Velociraptor - Clawfoot

All of the art shown was taken right out of the 4E Monster Manual.
... which begs the question: why is the 4e Monster Manual using the 3.5 MM vampire pic?
