GTS - Who can I meet?

The Sigil

Mr. 3000 (Words per post)
The title basically says it all.

Living in California, and having recently used up much of my time off to be home with my wife thanks to the new arrival of a baby, I will be taking one day off work to show up at the GTS.

I will be at the GTS on Tuesday. All Day. Who all is going to be there, so I can start planning my "hit list?"

Yes, Hal, I know you will be there and you and MEG are on the top of my list. :) Just wanted to know which other publishers planned on being there.

FWIW, I'm planning on bringing 20 CDs burned with S.T. Cooley Publishing PDFs (hopefully I will have a demo of the latest Enchiridion ready by Monday night when I start burning them)... so start "reserving your copy" in this thread also. And I wouldn't complain if anyone wanted to "trade material with me" *nudge nudge wink wink* - they'd likely get bumped to the top of the list.

I'm just looking forward to getting to put some faces with some of the names in the industry. :)

Also, what advice would you give me as a first-time GTS attendee?

Questions I have:

Who's in which booths? (i.e., what booth number are you at?)

Dress code?

Cameras (still and video) code?

Potential faux pas's? (whatever the plural is)

What not to miss?

What to avoid?

Can I get some of my books autographed? (Hal, I have Bluffside that wants your name on it and Pramas, my Legions of Hell and Armies of the Abyss are looking in your direction)

Ok, off to take more cold medicine so I am strong "like bull" for the show.

Aw, {insert favorite expletive here}!

I'm gonna have to have one freaking big backpack to lug around all the books I'll wanna get signed. :p

Also I think cameras are fine...
Dress code is what you want it to be... I will be in a MEG shirt and khakis
Faux pas---Telling Monte that Freeport is the best d20 book out there
Telling Clark Petersen he is wrong about the laws in the state of Nevada
Not going drinking with the Troll Lords
Telling LI's team not to split a pair of queens
and whtever you do do not mention Jim Butler's grey hair
One good day and you can hit almost everything at the booths, you will miss some seminars
What to avoid--going to a strip club with the Troll Lord boys.
Autographs should not be a problem--bring a pen just in case :D

I will indeed be there, along with Nicole Lindroos and Hal Mangold. GR's booth is 507.

Dress code is pretty casual and I'm pretty sure cameras are allowed.

There are lots of good seminars, depending on what your specific interest is. The Origins Awards nominees are being announced Tuesday morning. There's lots of good Vegas stuff to do, like seeing the pirate battle at Treasure Island (yaaaarrrrrr!!!) and the dancing waters at Bellagio. Lots of great resteraunts too, like Red Square, Nobu (expsensive but soooo good), and China Grill. Vegas is also the only place I know of where you can sign a waiver that says you're not crazy and then be given a fully loaded automatic weapon. Several places let you shoot vintage weapons, and the last time I was there I finally gave that a try (shooting a German MP40, which is probably no surprise to those who have seen V For Victory).

Avoid losing all your money gambling and you should be fine. :)

Hey now...

That makes it sound like I don't like Freeport. Which is far, far, far from the truth.

Here's an ancient link to prove it:

;)

Sue and I will both be there, with the Sword and Sorcery gang. You're more likely to find us wandering about than at the booth, though.

All in funin' my friend, if I thought you did not like it, it would not have been funny.:D

It was funny right????
