Noting how Mark CMG starts lots of threads asking for opinions on things like this, I have a question: is CMG coming out with some master book of all the best stuff?

I AM NOW!

Just always curious about a lot of the little details, I guess. I'll come out with a full ruleset someday, I am sure, that combines the things I have found best since my gaming start in the early seventies. My own Magna Opera of gaming rules and systems for play (if I am using that correctly). Currently, I am pleased to come up with useful and sometimes unusual products. I suppose the SRD 3.5 Revised Bundle might be considered a master book of all the best stuff.

I think my next project is going to rock huge for gaming in 3.5 games, as well as any that utilize a medieval/fantasy campaign setting. Feel free to start a new thread to try and guess what it will be and I'll be sure to pop in and drop some hints. For a first hint, let's just say that it is a play on words. Also, keep an eye on my site and elsewhere for news coming soon and thanks for asking!

So anyway, I thought I'd take a guess and see if Mark CMG will come drop some hints. Given that he's always asking about things, I'll go ahead and take the first guess. "Magical Magic Items." How does that sound?

I think I will give out a prize to a random guesser. So you don't have to be right to win.

Hey, cool!

Let me also mention that I like Timmundo's guess, even if it's only a suggestion. ;)

Hmm, based on this

I think my next project is going to rock huge for gaming in 3.5 games, as well as any that utilize a medieval/fantasy campaign setting.

While for 3.5 I would really like the srd monsters done out in the new statblock that won't help any using medieval fantasy campaigns without 3.5 (And I think I remember Mark saying he did not like the new statblock).

So I'm guessing something heavily description oriented for direct applicability to D&D games.

The two types of things that come to mind have already been done, a DM POV description of the world with medieval fantasy assumptions as done in a Magical Medieval Society, or tons of text block descriptions for use in games as done by Table Top Adventures Bits of the X series.

Maybe an in-depth description of medieval magical traditions with how they translate into 3.5 mechanics.

Possibly an expansion of the Kingdom hinted at in the CMG woodwind module. Done out in a heavy description focused style suitable for inclusion in either a D&D or medieval world.

Perhaps that "+3 Vorpal Tutu of Orcus" (activated by a properly executed ballonné) will make the cut for his compendium of useful and useless magic items.

ballonné (ball-like). A jump. From 5th position, right foot front, demi-plié while the right foot glides to 2nd position at 45 degrees. Jump with left while travelling in the air towards the right foot. Land on left foot with the right having come in to the position sur le cou-de-pied front. Repeat by throwing the right foot out to the side again from the position sur le cou-de-pied. Can be done in many different directions.

Taking this into account:
I think my next project is going to rock huge for gaming in 3.5 games, as well as any that utilize a medieval/fantasy campaign setting.
I'd have to guess that the next project is something the 3.5 gamers as a whole will enjoy, but will *specifically* appeal to those running medieval/fantasy settings. As such, perhaps a new book detailing common professions, "mundane-magical" items (fantasy style ice chests, for example), or a more detailed project like the 100 Fantasy Locations that was done here awhile back.
