Guide to the Iron Kingdoms?

Dreadnought, I don't doubt you're right.
I've seen the clips from the Monsternomicon and they're beautiful.

But I don't give a tinker's dam about monsters. They're easy to find and port from setting to setting.
I need to know about IK technologies, politics, and religions. If I get those, I can stay a loyal consumer of Privateer Press's material for the rest of my career, honestly. They've created the setting I would create myself if I was a good writer and decent artist...and was brave enough to try either full time.
But without those basic world elements, I can't GM.
So yes I can make them up, and I have. My campaign is Southern Gothic IK: I told everyone to consider the Longest Night Festival to be Mardi Gras and move on from there. I'm crabbing technologies from Masque of the Red Death. I've got adventures coming from all over the place.
This is all fine and good, mind you. The problem comes when PP releases their setting, which will be brilliant. I have great faith in them. It will probably make my amateur cut and paste look like ...well, amateur cut and paste. But it won't fit with what I've had to improvise anymore, so I'll look at it and consider that I need to spend my 30$ somewhere else, unless I'm looking for reading matter. Or restart my campaign.
I hate restarting my campaigns.
I have plenty of reading matter available.
You can see where neither of us is benefitting from this.
Granted, I probably will buy it, which may make this entire post moot. But I can't help but think that some other GM types might not bother buying a setting they've already had to build, which obviously hurts sales.

I'd be interested in knowing which adventures you've used. I'm trying to find some more adventures to use in the Iron Kingdoms.
