Fading Suns
G'day
I won't vote, because I don't know Deadlands at all. I will just let you know that Fading Suns was not at all to my taste, and taht what I thought sucked hardest was the setting. A lot of people like the setting, I know. But I thought it was just a lot of evocative crap squished together with no idea of how anything actually worked.
I played a bishop in a Fading Suns freeform for over a year, and the best fun I had was sewing myself a biretta and cassock. There was no information available anywhere on how the Church is actually organised: who has what authority, how it is enforced, etc. The people playing nobles found similar problems.
My review: ten out of ten for style, minus several million for substance.
IMHO, YMMV, YDWYDWP

Agback
