Gygax Games - something afoot?

Why are you so worried about that?! You assume that it would be for 4th Edition even though it's pretty clear Gary didn't want to lose control of his property. The only way I could see Hasbro ever being interested in that is for Gail to sell the work outright, something I highly doubt she would do. And I don't see Hasbro wanting to do that.

Wouldn't have to be Hasbro -- Gygax Games could use the GSL and publish a 4e version of Castle Zagyg themselves. Although this seems like a very unlikely outcome.

I have not been very happy with how she has been treated either.

I do think that Castle Zagyg is THE product that has the most interest, though I am biased.

I also, almost, don't care what ruleset it comes out for.

We'll see. I wonder if it will be happening with Mongoose via the Flaming Cobra imprint? There were moves supposedly in that direction.

AS for Castles and Crusades, I doubt it. At least Luke and Ernie are working on a project or two for TLG, so that will be cool.

At this point, does anyone still actually care anymore about Gygax Games?

I'm in that boat. Past the point of caring. I don't agree with all the venom towards Gail especially by some of the more hardcore TLG fans, but at the same time- how long has it been with pretty much nothing said at all by GG? The guys from Mongoose were the ones who finally said they had not seen hide nor hair of the LA manuscripts back when the books were supposed to be released. GG is not the kind of company I care to support, despite my love for Gary's work/s.

The only thing I personally am bitter about is how fans have really treated Gail Gygax over the past few years. Do people honestly think they know what Gary wanted better than Gail?

The lady let Gary play D&D with us on their freakin' wedding anniversary. She can do no wrong by me. :D

I'm happy to see signs of life, if that's what they are---and it is what they seem to be, to me, FWIW (although someone else commented that it's possible that the site was simply hacked or that they lost the domain name too...).

I've waited a long, long time for Castle Greyhawk/Dunfalcon/Zagyg, so two years is really no big deal at this point. Waiting is part of the game, on some level, so to speak. I'd certainly be happy to be wallowing in the fifth CZ boxed set by now, if that would have worked out, but it didn't, so I'm just taking it one month at a time (which is about how often I check the boards on GG).

. . . and the old bull said to the young bull, "Naw. Let's walk down the hill and publish them all. ;)
