H.A.R.P. Anyone? (FREE R.P.G. BOOK)

alsih2o

First Post
I bidded on and won the H.A.R.P. book (high action role playing)to support the ENWorld chat channel. It is signed and still in darned good condition because I just cannot make myself sit down and make sense of it. (this has more to do with how I learn, or don't, than the book)

So, I have decided it is time to part with it.

I will be accepting arguments on why you should recieve the book, best argument gets the book, shipping and handling on me.

So, why you?

Maybe it's because English is not my native language, but (sorry) I absolutely cannot understand your question.

EDIT: Ah! the shame on me. Now I think I understand what you say: you want to give it to the person who will roll (role) the best Bluff check on this thread?

If so well... My arguments: I don't know about that book, and would probably try to sell it on ebay after getting it (worth a penalty on my roll that ? :p ), but I swear: I am a good person, honest, and I wish that everybody on earth will have the best life possible, love everywhere, and of course that yourself win lottery. You see how good I am huh?! Now I deseve the book don't I?? However, I am so good, that mind you, I prefer to let someone else get the book.

I have been accused of English not being my native language and I am from Ohio! :)

I am giving away H.A.R.P. and I am looking for whoever can give me the best excuse to give it to them.

Am I really that hard to understand? This is about the fifteenth time I have heard this. If it is true, even somewhat, can someone explain what it is about my language usage that makes me less understandable?

Maybe you typed the post too fast.
Surely I did read really too fast. I saw my misunderstanding later, after typing my answer too fast too :uhoh:

I have a friend in France. English is his second language also. My favorite saying of his is when he wants me to come to him (As in "Come over here Josh") he says "Come on me."

Hey! I'd really like the H.A.R.P. Book. I promise you that it will be played and used, and when I am done, I will pass it freely to another enworld member, shipping on me!

Thanks!

I would like the H.A.R.P. book because I collect game systems. But, the real reason I collect game systems is because I want to play them, and will eventually, once I can find a group that will play them as well. I've been looking at H.A.R.P. for a while, but have no cash. ;(

I really would like the book, but perhaps Grapeshot deserves it more than I (according to his post). :)

(P.S. I understood your post the first time I read it; perhaps others didnt because they don't believe someone would actually give something away and pay the shipping on it?)

Ah, my close, personal friend Mark. The reasons you should give it to me are many, but the most important is the respect and bond of friendship that we have forged over these many long years. As you know I am fan of role playing games in general, and try not to limit myself to only a few systems. You can help me expand my RPG knowledge by enabling me to add this fine book to my collection. We are brothers from Ohio, Mark. So, please send the book my way.

Exactly what happened with me.

Now a suggestion: I remember a thread here about the price of rpg books. One guy said he was living in Brasil (or something), and despite he was a computer programmer only made around 400 or 500$ per month, which left him with very few money to buy rpg stuff (at normal US price), as you can guess. My suggestion would be to give the book to someone in such a situation of being to poor to afford game books.

Well, just my 2 cents anyway.

(yes - kidding)

Dude, you are allowed to post form your little D.J. booth?

When I called earlier about pizza Jo and I were debating the funny value of posting your Radio show phone number on here with a "Bored gamer at work, pleae clal and request a song" note. :)
