H2 name changed to 'Thunderspire Labyrinth'

Maybe the name change was because the goal/theme of the adventure changed?
I'm pretty sure that's it. Shadowfell is about preventing a priest of Orcus from opening up a portal to the land of the dead. A second module with an undead theme would be too much back to back, IMO. They need to show off different aspects of D&D this early in 4E.

LOLS was waaaay better. "Thunderspire Labyrinth"?? That does NOT roll off the tongue well.

I hope Mum-Ra is the BBEG though. But I feel sorry for the guy who has to play Snarf (Snarf).

Yuck. Another lousy name in a seemingly endless string of lousy names. They're really not selling me on 4.0.

I could see this being the title of a module from any previous edition, or even from Judges Guild. I don't think any of the 4e names we've seen so far have been all that bad.

Emerald Frost.

They'll be living that one down long after we've all switched to 5E. When they come out with the Slithercat race, people will say "Could be worse; could be 'Emerald Frost.'"

Any past (and present) participant in Dungeons and Dragons will rapidly realise that the secret to successful naming is the art of alliteration. Gary Gygax gestated it, and grognards have grimly grappled with the gruntwork of making up monikers in similar style since then. No wonder "Labyrinth of Lost Souls" is praised by the populace, while "Thunderspire Labyrinth" is consigned to the crusher. Perhaps it should be "Thunderspire Thabyrinth" instead.

I think he stole it from Siegel & Shuster (or whoever came up with Lois Lane, Lana Lang, Lori Lemaris, Lex Luthor, etc.).
