Hackmaster Advanced Players Handbook ('5th Edition')

As an aside (I don't think/hope this violates any rules)

For those interested in trying this out there's some of the kenzer forum members running a Pity-Party con next weekend since they cannot attend Origins.

It's online, free, and all HackMaster players get a free HackMaster Basic PDF

Might be a good opportunity to try it out if you're on the fence.

Yeah, Gary Jackson can be a little over-zealous when it comes to the role of the GM vs the players. However, instead of being 'adversarial", I would say that the GM needs to challenge the players, not give them the game. The players will need to work as a team or else, well. they 'will' die. Simple as that, really.
