I just got initiated into 3.5/Pathfinder yesterday. Never played a speck of D&D before, though I have heard of it and I've been an avid gamer since 1983.
I started on Palladium's TMNT & Other Strangeness and slowly broadened my gaming horizons. I own 9/10 of the Palladium megaverse, and it is my system of choice. I also have some GURPS books and CHill and White Wolf's original world of darkness. I haven't bought or tried the new World of Darkness yet.
I got the 3.5 core + Epic Level Handbook, Expanded Psionics Handbook, Magic Item Compendium, Rules Compendium, Spell Compendium and Unearthed Arcana as part of my Christmas presents yesterday.
My brother and his friends all pitched in to get me these books plus the Pathfinder Beta softcover. They're going to show me how to create a character for both games and run my character through what they call a 'meat grinder' adventure. Why do I feel like when they say this that my character is a Mr. Meat Snack?
Anyway, just thought I'd introduce myself. My group only lurks here, but I never lurk on a message board; I take active duty, even if it is spotty.
