Yeah, the 1 electric breath/day (with really, by CR 20, negligible damage) was more of a surprise than a real danger... it was the five negative levels per breath from the negative energy breath that put the fear of god into the pcs!

Why is it considered wierd to have two different colored dragons producing offsprind then say a red dragon hooking up with a cow?

I dont care how magical,(or amorous) a dragon might be, wouldnt another dragon of any type be more appealing than say an ogre maid?

Now as written the half-dragon template doesnt really quite do justice to multi-cultured dragons.

That's the point. You shouldn't create dragon crossbreeds like that. You should put more work into creating them. I think it has already be done in AEG's Dragon, though.
