Half-Dragons and Enlarge Person

A-ha. I see.

So...I was looking around. Is there any spell to increase the size of a dragon, and if so, what would be the answer to my original question?

The few ways of doing this are fairly high-level effects. Polymorph could accomplish this IMO (though it'd probably be better to just turn the target into an actual dragon). Rightous Might would work. Too many Wu Jen levels can yield a spell that gets you REALLY big (like who cares if you got wings if you're Gargantuan?).

I'd give the oversized half-dragon wings for the duration of the effect. I consider it one of the benefits of the high ECL rating of the template.

Yeah, but that example (righteous might to grow wings) is just Andy Collins being wrong. Or maybe not, but I think the majority of DMs would not allow that workaround (I didn't, and I ran this a couple of months ago). Even a size Large dwarf is still a medium base creature. Note that that particular dwarf also has a spell-like ability to enlarge himself, so he was big for that entire fight. [And the fight the next day, too, after I had killed the party's fighter. :] ]

I'd say yes. My thought is that a medium creature has the wings, but due to their smaller size they are unable of actually allowing the half-dragon to fly. A larger creature's wings though are powerful enough to allow flight. On that, I'd have to say yes, it would.
The rules disagree with your first part there:

A half-dragon that is Medium or smaller does not have wings.
