Half Ogre Sources?

So what different half-ogre sources are there and how have they played out in your campaigns? I just picked up the new half-ogre miniature from Reaper, Mash or something, and he's awesome. Makes me want to create a half-ogre NPC, but I know there are a ton of them out there like in Bastards and Bloodlines, Monstrous Handbook, etc... Just looking for other peoples experiences and opinions.

I'm familiar with 3 different half ogre types. The first is from AEG. I can't remember if it's in any particular book, but it was a freebie on their website. The second is the Savage Species half ogre. I like this one because it makes you size Large and that is an interesting combat experience. The third is from an upcoming book by Troll Lords, Ogre Horde, which has its own view on half-ogres, including more than one type. But I'm obligated to keep my mouth shut on mechanics. :p Each of those 3 have different drawbacks and bonuses, but I think I'd go with the SS or Ogre Horde versions.

There was one from Savage Species (powerful, large sized)
One from Dragon Lance Campaign Setting (more on power scale)
and one that was a Template in a recent dragon (314?)

There might be more elsewhere too. I recomend the DLCS one.

Another Half-Ogre can be found in Green Ronin's Bastards and Bloodlines (Filled with numerous kinds of halfbreeds). This one is Medium sized, but has +2 natural AC, and for some reason it's LA is higher then Savage Species' own Half-Ogre.

An older version was seen in Dragon Magazine Issue #73, may of 1983, then again in "The Best of Dragon Magazine" Vol. IV May of 1985. Others have mentioned all the others I could think of.

You can go back even further than that, to Gary Gygax's "The Half-Ogre,Smiting Him Hip and Thigh", the Sorcerer's Scroll column in Dragon Magazine #29. The original is hard to come by, but lots of people have the CD with all of the old Dragon articles on it.
