Halloween........ What'cha doin'?

On the 30th, I'm hosting my 8th Annual Halloween gaming party.

This year's theme is an Egyptian Halloween - in honor of the "main" BBEG that the party'll be facing in a Call of Cthulhu/Mutants & Masterminds cross-over game (Nyarlathotep).

On Halloween itself, I'll probably chill at home and watch a handful of scary movies...

I'll be flying back from my california/hawaii trip that morning, so I don't have any big plans.... Pobably do a big candy buy right before we leave so its there that night (and pack some for the many flights ahead!) and give out candy to the neighborhood kids.

(one thing that I probably won't get around to doing is posting a sign or banner at 5 feet or so that says "YOU MUST BE THIS SHORT TO TRICK-OR-TREAT THIS HOUSE". Damn, I get tired of high schoolers with no younger kids in tow and pathetic costumes bugging me for candy.... )

My company has a big to do with Halloween. Everyone dresses up (~200 people at this corp hq), in departments or as individuals. All morning is mingle time, seeing everyone, going through the various departments' "areas", etc. Families are invited too. Is a very cool holiday, here.

There are awards for best department and best individual.

I'm going as Captain America.

That evening, I'll take the 4-year-old around the neighborhood, and maybe to the mall. He will be Spider-Man, and I will be wearing my Captain America.

Will be grand fun.

On the 28th we're going to a local hardcore show at a church.

On the 31st we're going to Atlanta to see Coheed and Cambria.

Hardcore at a church? Wow, you must live in a really liberal town. Either that your definition of "hardcore" is not the same as mine.

Since it falls on a Monday, not much. I'll probably hand out candy to any trick or treaters (we had 0 last year) and watch a couple chessey horror flicks with the fiancee.

Pictures!! I want to see pictures!! :D

You've definitely got a cool workplace. My workplace didn't allow costumes until recently because some "Politically Correct" person in management was afraid of offending somebody.

I'm not doing anything fun that I know of for Halloween. Every year I want to dress up and go to a haunted house, and every year I completely fail to do so. :(
