Hardcore at a church? Wow, you must live in a really liberal town. Either that your definition of "hardcore" is not the same as mine.

Actually, it's really conservative. And I feel that most modern "hardcore" is weak emo-ish junk compared to hardcore from '85-'95ish.

Just most of the hardcore bands around here are Christian bands.

Oh, you're talking MUSIC! :heh:

I think the word you're looking for is "heavy metal".

The term "hardcore", to me at least, implies triple-XXX rated adult pornography. But maybe that's just me. :)

Uh...what I mean to say is...uh...it's...uh...that's what my FRIEND calls it, too.

My friend.

I knew what you were talking about Tagon. What bands are you going to see? My bro goes to a lot of shows in Boston, including a church hall. He's seen The Chariot, Fear Before the March of Flames, Beloved, Underoath, etc.

Nah, heavy metal is mainstream music from the 80's and early 90's. If I'm going to a metal show it is going to be real metal.

Hardcore is something else entirely, coming out of the punk scene.

But yeah, back on topic. Everyone near Atlanta, come see Coheed and Cambria, and mewithoutyou. It will be amazing. And dress up as Coheed and Cambria characters.

My friends Mike and Tonya will be hosting an adults-only Halloween party on Saturday, the 29th. It promises to be lots of fun. I already have my costume picked out.

I'm going to be dressing as the Phantom of the Opera. One girl offered to have my babies when she heard :uhoh:

My church used to have a coffeehouse/venue type thing called Shadrach's, and most of the nads that played there were local hardcore groups or emo. We also had some west-coast punk bands come by on tour a few times. Hmmm....names I recall are Suffer Hereafter, Enemy of Existence, Find Your Self Truth, and....something "Kid." Might've been Fallout Boy or whatever that band's called. That shut down a few years ago when the church moved, but it was great fun while it lasted.
