Halo 2 versus Half Life 2

Why Xbox vs PC?

Am I mistaken, or did HL2 come out on PS2 first? For anyone looking to play it and need to upgrade their PC beforehand: save yourself hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars, and get a PS2 with HL2.

I'm not an advocate of playstation, but if I seriously wanted to play it, that's the route I'd go. No dealing with Windows.:)

Nope Half-life two is soley PC. I'm a much better shot with the keyboard/mouse combo. Out of interest has anyone played it on laptop?

Half Life 2 is a great game spoilt only by perhaps the worst game ending (if it can be called such..no spoilers youl have to finish it yourselves to see what I mean) of any game ive completed in the last few years. However that said it doesnt detract too much from the fact that playing the game is great both in story and visuals up until that point.

Gamespot has a listing for an Xbox version.

They also have a page for Team Fortress 2, wasn't that supposed to be included with HL2, or was that HL?

I'm anti-console, anti-MMORPG (the pay-2-play versions), as well as traditionally anti-TCG. Although I do like GBA games and hopefully will own the new Nintendo DS. I wonder if I could trade in my SP for a discount.

I'm sure you can, whether it's worthwhile or not is questionable.

Also keep in mind that the DS only plays GBA games, not GB or GBC games, so if you have any of those keep that in mind.

I loved the ending to HL 2. Steam hasn't been a problem for me.

For my experiences, Halo 2 can't really compare to Half Life 2. HL2 dominates in every category. But it could just be that firing by a gamepad is the most obnoxious thing in the entire world to me.

How'd I'd miss this the first time.

Maybe I'm an oddity but I'm a much better shot on Halo 2 than I've ever been on any PC shooter game.

Well there is a slight auto aim built into the game to help off set the lack of precision of the controller.

honestly?

For me I have to say the ending was a large disappointment from what was otherwise a flawlessly enjoyable game with Half Life 2.

I loved the ending, as I was finishing I wondered, 'How is this going to end?', it's and ingenious ending, and when I saw it it was very cool.

Over i year i think. And although i never played it i heard it wasn't as good as the Xbox version, which i didn't quite understand. Pc has so much more power. Might have been a coding issue, i dunno. But the PC version did add in multiplayer options lacking on the xbox, like flying the banshee.
Our group wouldn't disagree with that assessment. I think Halo PC was a big improvement over Halo Xbox.
