Welcome aboard, PK!!

Also, a belated Happy Birthday to Anthony Valterra, whom I recall no longer uses the alias Zulkir!!!

Peter, maybe you can offer some of your thoughts on what it was like to work at WotC when things were going well and when there were problems, such as the layoffs. (I felt sad when that happened, considering that many good employees with a long history at TSR and WotC were let go. Also, what do you think of the current state of the RPG industry and what you see as some of the problems and opportunities for the future. (It would be nice to see more growth in our hobby. We have been getting somewhat better exposure in the press, especially when compared with the early 1980s.)

So, what insights can you offer those of us who have never been to WotC headquarters? Were you there when WotC acquired TSR? (Now if I can only find Ryan Dancey's essay on why TSR failed. It should be included in a business text book. Hopefully, we won't see many RPG companies making the same mistakes that TSR made... primarily not listening to the desires of their customers.)
