Happy GM's day, everybody!

Now, it might not be where you're at yet, but in my time zone, it's GM's day! Here's a cheer for all the great GM's out there - and for Mark and all the people who thought this up in the first place. Anyone have any stories about their great GM's they'd like to share? Oh - and make sure you buy 'em something with chocolate today, alright? Because they deserve it. :)

[Edit] I just thought of a DM I can offer congrats to. Sepulchrave, I may never have spoken to you or played in one of your games, but your story hour makes me wish I could manage half as well. Kudos!

And, as well, to my fledgling DM, Timothy - we haven't been playing long, but I think we've got some promise! :)

I have no great DM stories because I am the DM. :( I would not want to seem like I was one to gloat over past experiences, or actions that were my own...
;)
I do plan on treating the day like a holiday, though. I'm taking myself out to lunch (sushi) and buying me a few game supplements that only I will ever read.

Oh what the hell... it's close enough to the right time here....

HAPPY GM'S DAY, EVERYONE! TO ALL OF MY GM'S A HEARTFELT THANKS: (this is mostly a complete list... it's late and i'm tired, so if i've forgotten anyone.. my heartfelt apologies!!!)

Mark: you're an inspiration for a young'un like myself. It's a pleasure to game with you, and you've actually given me the distinct honor of being on your "CMG Support Team".

Piratecat: haul yourself out to chicago more often!!! You are indeed a fantastic GM! Atlas Games should pay you royalties for GMing Feng Shui... any one who plays in a game run by you is certain to go buy the friggin book--take me for example.

Fayredeth: Even though he's a bastard for never letting my characters advance beyond 5th level, he's a great guy and far better DM than I. :D

William Ronald: a never-ending idea mill, providing me with some of the best little plot hooks ever. I don't think I've ever run an adventure written by myself that has been as....mentally involved for the players. Oh my PCs are about to be in for a doozy, once they find out the real story in the current adventure :D... THANKS WR!

Carl B: my very first dungeon master and a guy I miss dearly. Our families seem to have just moved apart as of late, unfortunately... I'll never forget his mischevious chuckles and tooty grin barely visible behind his old 1e dm screen.

Kamikaze Midget (thanks to terraism for helping me remember his name!!! :)): You ran a delightfully fun introduction to Planescape for the group at EN Gameday 1. Thanks for a great new gaming experience.

My good pal Sticks (Darren): you tried to DM once...Fayredeth and I made sure that you will never step behind the GM's screen again... MWAAHAHAHAHAHAAA!

cool guy who does all of the god writeups here whose name and screenname i can't seem to recall at the moment (long enough name??? lol :D): You ran a delightfully fun introduction to Planescape for the group at EN Gameday 1. Thanks for a great new gaming experience.
Nice list, Trevalon. And I think you're referring to our very own Kamikaze Midget. :)

Happy GM's day to all the GM's in Playing the Game (most of whom play a half dozen PbP games, too).

Particular thanks to gamecat for getting me started and buzzard for a glimpse of Rappan Athuk.

Happy GMs day to both of my former GMs!

My first GM, who taught me to be a better GM by showing me what NOT to do.

and my second GM, because he never let anyone play a sentient shield guardian at third level!
