I did not know it was Gygax day but am happy to learn it. I might help my 8 year old make a character because he and my teen daughter have expressed interest!
If we do I will tell them about Gygax! If they starts with 5e, he won’t know it.
(Though we played BECMI one shot with the little guy a few months back and he ate it up—-his surviving dwarf was dubbed “ogre slayer”) despite all the PCs that died in his presence!
