Rumor has it that the sixth Harry Potter book will be over 700-1000 pages. Since the next movie will not be released until November 2004,

The 3rd film will open in early June of 2004.

And the fourth film is slated for a Summer 2005 release, with movie #5 arriving about 18 months later (Christmas 2006).

With such an aggressive filming schedule, they may actually be able to use the same actors for the main roles. If the actors want to be in all the films.

Of course, by then we expect book 6 to be delivered and book 7 to be well, underway, right?

One way they're keeping up that schedule is to have preproduction on one film going on while the previous one is being finished, with a different director managing each film. It'll be very cool to see if they pull it off. I hope they do.
