Riverside (35 acres) and South Side (26 acres) are small towns on the southern border of the Unicorn Plains. The former on the north side of an unnamed river, the latter opposite it. A mile or so to the west is Fort Scorpion, a military outpost of the Hare nation of the Unicorn Orcs. Both towns are trading centers and are connected by a ferry service. There is talk of building a bridge, but the river traffic is dictating a type of bridge that would be expensive and difficult to build for communities of their size. So the Hares are planning a bond measure to raise the money, but that is facing opposition among the bulk of Hare citizens, who don't see any real need when the ferry is doing an adequate job.
