I ordered SWSE to check the rules out.

That's the only WotC book I have purchased in over a year. And that was only to port over the cool changes into the D&D/Planescape campaign I'm running – you won't be sorry, it has really injected are campaign with some serious juice!

Now I'm seeing Korgoth in a 3-piece suit addressing Congress. :)

Then I have succeeded. (^_^)

I still don't know (obviously, since we know so little) if I'll be buying 4E, but for me next May can't get here fast enough. I'm intensely curious about whether I'll be kissing that $100 goodbye or not.

You know, all my 4e curiosity has made it impossible for me to concentrate on any of my recent RPG acquisitions when I try to read them. I'm getting a vision of May coming & having the 4e PHB in my hands & not being able to concentrate on reading it because that's a long time to keep my interest up.

I think I would have actually preferred not to have known about it until it was out.

Well, with this 4e being announced, I must say, it certainly has made me think about future purchases. IF anything, I will look for deals on 3/3.5 stuff, as someone mentioned before retailers will want to make room for new 4e crap. I will most likely pick up the FR hardback adventures that have been coming out still, but there is no way on God's green earth that I would ever pick up a festering piece of dung like the rules compendium. Why the heck did I buy all the rulebooks in the first place then, just to sell them at a later date for a loss? And to give money to the company who, not only is making my game of choice obsolete, but trying to sell the obsolete rules one more time during it's death rattle? I think not.
