Has there been a Core Race Survivor yet?

I wanted to a core race survivor instead of core religion.... but I wasn't sure what to use. I mean, if it was just PHB races, that'd be kind of boring. If it was non-core, I didn't have close to all the books.

Non-Core books... do you use monster books? (good god, we'd be doing this until 2009!).

Good luck to whoever tries to tackle something like this.

P.S. And, for the record, I'd be voting for the Feral Gargun.

Just PHB would be informative and quick, which is what I would be looking for personally.

For a more complete battle royal I'd probably stick with the PHB races plus the four main "Races of" bonus rounds, possibly including "of the Dragon" in there too. Races of Faerun and Eberron would be exempt partially for the sake of keeping the list managable and partially to keep bickering from haters of both settings out of the discussion.

That sounds alright, but adding in spellscales, dragonborn and kobolds probably wouldn't go amiss either so long as it was clear that incarnum, psionic, monster and setting specific races were specifically excluded.

I'd still like to see a "weakest link" version of it with just the mechanics of the PHB races considered. None of this "I'm voting halflings cause I hate the new kender style" stuff, just considering them as who is weakest in raw mechanics. One at a time elimination. Only crunch to be considered with all the fluff stripped away.

So we are probably due for another once the religion one is done? Just for the sake of complete records of course...

Eh, the original was very predictable and I personally would prefer something that was somewhat informative as well as entertaining.

Predictable or not, I'd still like the enworld consensus. I know that going weak to strong is something basically like half-orc, halfelf, gnome, human, halfling, dwarf, but I would still like the numbers to back it up when I finish my musings on rebalancing them all.
