Heh, sometimes soft questions, are intentionally open-ended questions, with the hopes the interviewee ends up walking oneself into saying something stupid or revealing. Sounds like, Cox answered fine.

They could have made more of an effort to pin down solid answers, but I thought all his answers were reasonable.

The main informational content was that there doesn't seem to have been longterm brand consequences to the major errors last year, which seemed to be the case from what we knew already.

Quite typical answers by someone with media training. Stuck to his talking points and did not overextend himself. Answers were clear - to the people outraged by the OGL screw-up, we have enough new customers, you do not matter and we fixed that already, but said nicely and with the positive spin of loyalty metrics.

I’m going to bet they would have preferred to keep the older customers too, just they weren’t overly financially hurt by losing them.
