Have loads of cash...recommendations?

This is really cool..great feedback everyone!

Ok for some info:
My cleric is one of Mask. He has taken the Divine Metamagic and Reach Metamagic feats (sorry not persistent, but hey, i have alot of fun with the reach metamagic...limited but fun anyways :) )

I'm alowed almost any book that has a hard cover, but not BOED and BOVD (since we are not the extreme in good or evil...only the DM can use those 2 :) )

Questions:

What is/What books are they from:

What are Nightsticks?
DIF?
Apparatus of Crab?
Orb of Storms?
Third Eye (Sense)?
What does the Ioon stone for ac do?

We already have a fortress, carpet and golem...plus a hydra as a pet :) (although no-one really approaches it....were a tasty meal..but it protects our fortress a little :) )

As for the Ring of Freedom of Movement...been thinking about it alot due to the amount of times I have been grappled :)

Belt of Constitution +6 is also a good idea :)

Raising AC (which i have about 33 or somthing (sheet is at home) would be great. Mabey bracers of natural armor +5-+6 would good instead of the bracers of speed...although, when rightious might/divine powered, the haste is really nice addon for attacks... :)

Any other ideas from different books? My character was rarely in melee before but is getting more and more in melee as time goes by. Wrong feat selection for now mabey...but its the best i got at the moment :)

Thanks!

Al

Ioun Stone:

Dusty rose Prism +1 insight bonus to AC 5,000 gp
Doesn't take a slot and will stack with your other AC bonuses. Might ask if you can get an enhanced version.

The nightstick is from Libris Mortis. It grants extra turn attempts if I recall.

Another thought is heward's handy haversack. Its always a handy item for packing lots of stuff around.

And yet another notion - if your DM will let you use the rules from the Arms & Equipment Guide, enhance your bracers to also be bracers of armor +1, heavy fortification (that's 36k for the item normally, more because you've already got an enchantment on the item). Being immune to critical hits and sneak attacks has a certain attraction. :D

If your AC isn't protecting you, you might want to switch to a Ring of blink with a cloak of minor displacement.

Blink 50% etherial miss chance
Cloak of Displacement 20% displacement miss chance

You'll only be hit 40% of the time when the DM rolls a 20. Plus you can blink and step out of a grapple and take less damage on area effect spells.

A ring of blink eh? That sounds like a good idea :) But doesn't it work that I only hit the bad guys only half the time aswell?

Its also fairly expensive, and the lesser version isnt much good other than to cast some quickened, low level buffs at the start of combat.

I would say yes, switch to bracers of natural armor. You will be hasted most of the time from the wizard/sorcerer anyway.

Ok these are great ideas guys (and/or girls..no insult intended)!

So here is what I am looking at so far:
Bracers of Natural Armor + 5(?) (I'll sell my bracers of speed)
Ring of Blink (i'll sell my ring of invi)
Dusty rose Prism

Don't know if i would have enough to change my belt of constitution to a plus 6.

Actually come to think about it, do you know how much these cost? or even better, how to calcluate the prices?

thanks!

Ring of blinking - 27k
Dusty Rose Prism - 5k
Bracers of Natural Armor(assuming DM prices same as amulet) - 50k

For the Ring of blinking, you will have a 20% miss chance when attempting to attack enemies. So that might be a problem. Still a nice item. Only way to avoid that is make a ring based off improved blink but that would be a much larger cost. Plus it's a customer item and not all DMs are cool with that.

Lesser metamgic rod of quicken would be useful in my opinion. While it only allows some low level buffs, there are still some really nice low level buffs on the cleric list. Divine Favor and Divine Power are a couple that would be covered by the rod. At high levels, spending a round buffing can become a big cost. Being able to throw those out would be useful. Also useful for firing off a fast healing spell on someone. A lesser metamagic rod of quicken would cost 33k

A good place to check prices, http://www.d20srd.org/indexes/magicItems.htm

It seems that my bracers of speed were an item that I got off a BBEG :) Loot! Loot!. So supposed i want to sell it and it is a non-normal slot, does that mean that I can sell it half market price x .75 also? I think the cost on market is full market price x 1.5 right? so half market price is that way 2 no?

thanks,

Al
