I participated to a limited extent in the first one, but, IMHO, it initially devolved into a "yes, I can" "no you can't" kind of thing about the effectiveness of sabotaging the gnomes efforts, and then rapidly got silly, so I stopped following it. I'd say that I stopped once it changed from a hypothetical "what would your character do" into a series of moves and counter moves. No offense intended to the people who enjoyed it though.
Just for the record, my character was against industrialization because he felt it would, over a generation or two, cause a massive drop in the number of adventure capable (high level) individuals and groups, thus weakening civilization against monster and extraplanar threats.
