Have you guys seen Fantasy Grounds?

I noticed the little ad banner across the top of the screen, and downloaded the demo.
Holy crap, it's sweet. I actually think I could run an online campaign pretty easily with
this thing. And it would look good!

The map masking is cool, and I imagine if you've got a scanner, you could just scan the whole map from an adventure, import it, and you're done.

It's too bad they don't make the player client free, but at least they made it cheaper than the DM client.

Anybody tried it out yet with a real campaign?

I have the DM version, but chances are I'll never get to use it.

It has some problems though. Some features that seem to be very obvious to include, like being able to zoom in and out on a map, are impossible. There's a lot of good there, but a few really huge stumbling blocks like the map thing that prevent it from being a must have.

I've used it both as DM and player and while it isn't perfect, it works very well. Combine it with Dungeon Crafter or some similar map-making program and you don't even need a scanner.

Skype also really helps so you have voice chat.
