Have you, in fact, READ the PHB?

Have you read the Player's Handbook?

Spells? What're Those?

When I bought the book I read it straight through until I got to the spells, then I skimmed.

Since then, I've read many of the sections multiple times, and I've probably read 90% of the spells at one point or another. For some reason I can't make myself sit down and read page after page of spell descriptions.

PHB C to C taking notes! ...on what to change! (House Ruler in action) I have my rules and I forget a lot of what's official. I need to pore it over again.

DMG C to C. Not much new I could use there. I call it my "useless book." Made me miss 1e DMG.

MM only when I attempt to murder my PCs! (My druid uses it a lot also. My wizard, somewhat)

I read it when I first got it, from cover to cover.

After that I've reread the most important sections (combat, magic) several times, each time noticing small issues and clarifications that I didn't notice on the previous readings.

I thoroughly read every rpg supplement I get, cover to cover, at least 2 or 3 times, just to grab small details I missed the first time.

In fact, the only 3e/D20 book I own that I havent given that thorough a read is the Psi Handbook, it just didn't interest me enough to read it all the way through.

I read the PHB cover to cover, as well as the MM/DMG. Doesn't look good for a DM to haven't ever heard of a particular rule, I think.

Still, I always forget undead are immune to crits :)

Damn,
