Excuse my ignorance, but where can I find details on "what Haven is about"?

This is a good place to find a brief description of Haven, though please keep in mind this description is for the non-d20 incarnation of the game.

The new edition will be 100% d20 Modern compatible.

Alright! Can't wait for it. d20 Modern will be awesome with that Tarantino-esque edge. I heard H:COV used a kind of advanced rock-paper-scissors mechanism for unarmed combat. Any word on how the d20 version will handle that?

Well- I'm committed to two things (not contractually or anything- more an "in my head" obligation).

Job #1 as I see it is to faithfully interpret Haven, maintaining its feel and tone.

Job #2 is to make the product as compatible with the d20 Modern rules set as possible without violating rule #1.

I am still getting up to speed on Haven in its original incarnation at the moment, so I can't comment on any specific rules or how they will be translated just yet.

However, I would call it more than fair if you assumed a little book called Blood and Fists (whose author shall remain nameless) would probably be the main engine of any unarmed combat rules.
