"I'll assume that was joke." replies the elf to Pernicious. "Now, don't waste time." he adds to him and Akora "We have recruits waiting for you."

On that, the elf leave the room.

Heavy metal? Was he…?

Turning awkwardly, Akora looks over her shoulder, brushing her hair out of her face.

Please follow me, good sirs. It would not do for me to keep our other guests waiting and I would very much appreciate your company.”

As she opens the door, she feels her body shudder slightly and a lithe man steps out of her, translucent but perfectly formed.
Bowing deeply he gestures for Althea to leave the room. His head pulls up sharply and his lips pull into a familiar smile.

Why that little…

Why did Kalvin continue to cause mischief? It had been too long since she had started this life and he still was no more forthcoming about details. Just annoying charm and smarmy smiles. Still, he always ‘had her back’ and was the first to warn her of the dwarves approach and their friendly intentions. It had been Ordon that had guided her in her negotiations with the stout fellows, though: Kalvin had spirited away, only to make snide comments in her ear to distract her at pivotal moments. His idea of humour, no doubt.

They were so very different to each other, and to her, she supposed.

She nods her head smartly to Kalvin and leaves the room, her hips swaying beneath the robe.

Kalvin turns his head to follow her and smiles cheekily.

Lord Baltimore sits at a table in the great hall, sipping from the bottle of mead and regretting not having put aside a mug for it as well. A shadow falls across his face, as he considers what lies in the coming days. It is clear a group is forming, but there have been signs that the opposition is already in amongst them. Bickering; concealment.

And then there is the silence, the Baleful silence. Where was the gnome who had walked with him all those days? He had been there through most of that last morning, fading in and out and laughing at Lord Baltimore's songs, and then... Silence. No laughter; no companionship.

The wee gnome had spoken of a prophecy; foolishly, perhaps, but Lord Baltimore knew that sometimes there resides truths even buried in stories. Indeed, that was the one think he did *know*. So much here was supposition.

The mead no longer pleases the Hobgoblin, who stands up, leaving the remainder of the bottle on the table.

In the silence.

-=-=-= Main Hall =-=-=-

The main Hall is large and vast. Only a few column are supporting the ceiling. Two large table are on each side of the main hall, but in time of festivity, it could be filled with tables to accept hundreds of people. But the last time the Hall have seen festivity have been long time ago, when the war wasn't part of the day to day life.

The silence is broken as a squad cross the hall. Every hours, a few men get down from the wall and another group replace them. the squad must be going to there duty.

As the sounds of the patrol start to fade away, Lord Baltimore, Vi'kandrix and Kolvram see Akora standing next to them.

-=-=-= Chapel =-=-=-

Pernicious, wanting to do the less work possible, decide to stay with Stonebear in the Chapel. The dwarf wake up a few minutes after Akora left. "By Moradin! We finally reach the Hold." he starts to look around and see the two talking. "What happened. I think I have fainted on the way back. Last thing I remember, we had found that Hobgoblin escorted by two guards. It seems there was no trouble."

Little nature hears Pernicious in his head.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Sorry for the slow pace of post. Things are heavy at the job. I want to post at least once every 3 days for large post with description and roleplay, and at least every 2 days in combat. I'll keep that rythm from now.[/SBLOCK]

As the sounds of the patrol start to fade away, Lord Baltimore, Vi'kandrix and Kolvram see Akora standing next to them.

"My Lady Akora," Lord Balitmore says, as he clicks his heels and makes a slight bow. He's heard her name being mentioned, and he ventures a guess that this is she.

"My name is Lord Baltimore. You will find the remains of a stone jug of mead on the table over there. You are welcome to help yourself. It is not an old vintage, and the sugars have caked the top of the container on the inside, but it will perhaps serve." He pauses, to let her speak if she wishes.

"Lieutenant Madisson has charged some of us with the defense of the Hold. In the morning, we shall see what specifically he has in mind. I hope to see you there."

Almost starting at the unexpected eloquence from a hobgoblin, Akora catches herself so as not to offend.
“Greetings, Lord Baltimore. “
Looking around, her hair falls forward,
“I was expecting there to be three of you. I am to escort you to your accommodation for the night. It is not much to speak of but I find it helps to focus the mind.”
As she begins to turn on her heels, her head tilts to the side and she gazes into the distance,
Be polite and thank him for his offer, my dear. Remember you are a lady.
What would she do without Ordon? Probably come across as a pig-headed, stubborn, spoilt brat.
Maybe that’s what you are in this life?
She could actually feel Kalvin smirking. The little…
As she pushes her hair from her face her lips pull into a smile,
“Thank you for your offer of a drink, my Lord, but I prefer to keep a level head at the times. It’s always good to be ready for any opportunity that may arise. I’d probably end up flat on my back, anyway! May I lead you to your room?”
Flirting with a hobgoblin? You’ve reached a new low, Althea.
It was at times like these she wished she could slap her previous lives.
Excuse me?
Well one of them, at least.

Vi'kandrix steps out from his chosen waiting spot near the wall and makes a small bow to Akora. Lady Akora. I am Vi'Kandrix, and I would appreciate any accommodations, humble or otherwise. I am in need of rest.

As he waits for Lord Baltimore and Kolvram to indicate their readiness, Vi'kandrix's mout quirks upward in a half smile. I must say, Lady, you are far more striking than the servant I was expecting to lead us to our rooms. Is the keep your residence, or do you have other business here?

[SBLOCK=OOC]Happy to see there is still some interest into the game. If the majority of people are still willing to play, action should start after a bit more roleplay.[/SBLOCK]

Lord Baltimore chooses to appear oblivious to the tenor of the Lady Akora's ingratiating words. It is late, and he needs to work with these people.

"You are very kind milady. Indeed if you wish to show us to our rooms, I think that would be ideal. We will have plenty of other opportunities to share a meal."

Giant, the short stout one address' you... He certainly couldn't be addressing me, as I have no idea what he speaks of...

Pernicious leisurely opens Socrates, and flippantly leafs through the pages of the elitist hardcover...
