Having Trouble with D&D Insider (tech issues)

I know this isn't wizards.com, but I haven't yet found the answer I need from their forums or from their support staff, so I'm taking a wild shot here.

I can't sign in to the Insider site. The login button does nothing. The popup does not appear, which would allow me to sign in with my email address and password. I do get a javascript void message at the bottom of the screen, but nothing else.

When I attempt to sign in to the Compendium, that works, but if I again try to launch Character Builder, it says my session has expired.

I have tried in Internet Explorer 9, Chrome, and Firefox. I have deleted browsing history. I have turned off Virus protection. I have made sure Java was updated.

I first noticed when the site redesign occurred. The backdoor entrance (from the Compendium) worked until yesterday. This so far is happening only on my home PC (is not occurring on my work PC or at my friends' house - where I also tested it).

Any ideas?

I have had similar issues for months and this is what I have found will work:

1. Always sign in using your email address rather than your User ID.

2. Only sign-in on the wizards.com/dnd page.

I have never posted/complained about it simply because it is WotC and they don't fix problems related to DDi as I am sure many have learnt by now.

You can also use a "backdoor" login by logging into the forums.

Once I logged myself in there I also was logged into the Insider AND my login even stayed logged in (which it usually didn't do)

At least you're only affected at home... on my desktop PC, my laptop, my work computer, in IE and Firefox of different versions, in a sandbox or not, I cannot ever get that login button to work. :P

So I've been going straight to vecna.wizards.com and logging in at the top of the page, and once that's done I'm logged in everywhere. :)

And I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one having difficulties... :P I'm a bit surprised that after a few weeks of this redesign it hasn't been updated/fixed (unless it's only us select few who are having the issue...)

peace,

Kannik

I don't know if you use the 'Ghostery' add-on with your web browser, but I found that disabling it in Safari allowed me to use the buttons on the Dungeons & Dragons Insider website once again.
