Hayward CA / East Bay -- Looking for long-term r/p oriented 3e campaign.

Hello.
I am moving to the Hayward/East Bay area in March. I am a 38 yo professional male who has been playing DnD on-and-off since the Red Box days. In the best of all possible worlds, I would like to join an ongoing, character-driven, 3e campaign with other mature players. Not much to ask, I know . Any setting (GH, FR, OA, Nyambe, Kalamar, so-on-and-so-forth) would be fine. I am willing and able to co-DM or be part of a DM rotation, but I am more interested in playing at this time.

Can anybody in the Hayward/East Bay area reccomend a good gaming store where I could find players/DM interested in the above mentioned type of game?

Any help will be much appreciated.

As for gaming stores, your closest is probably Epic Worlds in Castro Valley. Gator Games, just across the bay is also highly recommended.

Welcome to the Bay Area,

Shame you will not be here in Feb, for DunDraCon (big con in San Ramon, about 20-30 min from Hayward) Their are aslo Cons over the Labor & Memorial Day weekends.

As for stores, their is Fantasy Books & Games in Livermore, & Games Unlimited in Concord.

You should have no trouble finding games or Game Shops in my
area . You have the one mentioned in Castrovalley , Gator ,and two good shops in Oakland one on Piedmont ave ( I forget the name ) and one on Lake Shore called End Game both very good .
And see if you can make DunDraCon it is a very good RPG Con .
Will probably see you in the future .

I have just now arrived in Hayward! Thanks for all the ideas. I have posted my availability on the Bayrps.com site, checked out Epic Worlds in Castro Valley, and am going to check out End Game tomorrow. I'm still interested in direct contact from anyone in the area looking for another player.

Scenario

I'm happy with Scenario Game and Hobby in Fremont. The area's under heavy construction but as of a few weeks ago they were certainly open.
